About the Role
As a Site Engineer, you will be providing project support by assisting with the on-site delivery of Commercial tier 1 projects. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the project and see it through to completion.
The position requires strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders. You will work in a fast-paced and proactive environment, with tasks primarily desk and administrative based, but also requiring occasional site visits to monitor progress.
To succeed in this role, you will need install and/or trade experience, as well as knowledge and experience in structural steel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review construction and structural documentation and technical specifications
* Assist the Design Coordinator with design management requirements and shop drawing reviews
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors on site, including reviewing RFI's and trade-specific variations with the Contract Administrator
* Work closely with key stakeholders (riggers, suppliers, operations team)
* Ensure projects are tracked and managed according to quality, OH&S, and program requirements
Skills and Experience:
* 2+ Years in the Construction Industry
* Relevant site experience or Degree qualifications in Construction Management, Building and Construction, Engineering, or relevant site background
* Strong Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
* Excellent people management skills
* Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment
* Excellent time management and attention to detail
* Proactive approach to maintaining a strong client focus
* Experience in Workbench (preferred not essential)
