About the role:
Support our high-performing livestock sales team. This role will see an experienced livestock salesperson provide support to our company agent with the scope to grow their own book of business.
This role will be responsible for promoting and growing livestock sales for our Kimba branch with the aim of protecting, maintain and growing the whole business. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to;
1. Proactively maintain and develop sales and business relationships with all customers across the business
2. Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans and sales strategies
3. Expand number of products and services bought by each customer
4. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and regional industry personnel
5. Provide market updates on industry trends, marketing trends, competitor activities and strategies
6. Provide activity performance reports as required
7. Provide support to other division and branch activities
About You:
If you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with livestock and in a sales environment, and an interest in general farming and animal health, together with an eagerness to learn new skills and enjoy different challenges each day, then we’d like to hear from you.
8. You will have hands on livestock handling & livestock sales experience
9. Preferred if you hold current AuctionsPlus Assessor accreditation (Sheep and/or Cattle)
10. Ability to integrate in a team environment
11. Proven experience in negotiation, sales, and marketing, as well as the ability to communicate at all levels
12. You will have a current driver’s license
13. Ideally an auctioneers’ licence
14. You will be a self-motivated person capable of nurturing and sustaining strong customer and client relationships with the ability to follow through in a fast-paced environment.
