About the Assignment The primary objective of this position is to provide the Onshore Upstream Division with coaching, mentoring and leadership in Health and Safety (HS) execution. This includes areas such as Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and assurance, incident investigation management, contractor management and delivering HS improvement plans and initiatives. The role serves as a key point of contact for our Frontline Leaders on field-related HS matters. This includes offering advice, coaching, and mentoring to help establish, build and develop their site safety leadership capability. Tasks include: Coach and mentor Santos field supervisors on the implementation of SMS Coach and mentor Santos field supervisors on the use of Santos Health and Safety systems Coach and mentor Santos field supervisors on the execution of the Health and Safety Assurance activities Advice and participate on the following aspects of contactor management: Pre and post mobilisation verifications verifications Participate in site discussions on planning, preparation and managing risk of high risk tasks Collect and communicate incident factual data for escalation and reporting Coach and lead field investigations for EHS incidents using the Santos 5 why process or Taproot Coach, mentor and support frontline leaders in the role out of Santos Health and Safety initiatives Participate and support emergency response activities in the field Coach and support the implementation of Santos COVID 19 controls and case management procedures This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod. Location for this assignment is Cooper Basin (Moomba) on a 15/13 roster. About You Experience in a health and safety role within the oil and gas or a similar industry, construction and mining Experience working within Production Facilities, Gas Field Construction (Drilling and Completions experience also considered) Lead Auditor training Investigation training (Taproot preferred) Experience with Behavioural Based Safety Programs Tickets / Quals / Certs Degree Qualified or Equivalent Tertiary / work / industry experience in relevant technical area Postgraduate qualifications in HSS would be desirable How to Apply If you have the required skills, experience, and qualifications, register your interest today Candidate interest must be received via the online application process.
