About the job Lead the charge in Australian agriculture as the Head of Sales/National Sales Manager for an innovative and growing manufacturer of cutting-edge agricultural equipment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with company goals and market expansion objectives. Lead, mentor, and motivate a national sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and results. Drive sales growth by expanding market coverage, developing new business opportunities, and penetrating untapped markets. Oversee the implementation and optimisation of CRM and sales analytics systems to improve data-driven decision-making. Build and maintain strong relationships with key dealer partners across Australia. Champion a value-selling approach, focusing on customer needs and offering tailored solutions. Skills and Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably in agricultural equipment or a related industry. Proven track record in leading sales teams, developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth in a dual sales model (direct and dealer-based). Expertise in sales process design, pipeline management, sales training, and the implementation of CRM and sales analytics systems. Strong understanding of the Australian agricultural market and planting and seeding equipment. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. About the location The business is headquartered in Regional NSW; however, the successful candidate can perform this role from anywhere with quick access to a major airport. Melbourne, Sydney, Wagga Wagga, Toowoomba, or similar would be the ideal locations. Regular domestic travel can be expected for this position.
Previous exposure to Agricultural and Farming Machinery in a retail or wholesale environment would be advantageous for this position. Candidates who have experience with brands such as John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Claas, Kubota, Deutz, or similar are strongly encouraged to apply.
On offer is an attractive base salary around $170,000 to $200,000 plus superannuation, incentives, and tool of trade company vehicle.
