Salary: HEW 8: $114,231 - $130,786 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

Responsibilities: Deliver the annual budget and forecast submissions, staff management plans, and monthly reporting. Manage and/or mentor a team of assistant accountants to provide and deliver a high-quality client service to identified faculties, strategic research centers, and institutes across all aspects of research finance and grant accounting. Maintain a high standard, culture, and practice for application of research expenditure and subsequent financial reporting and acquittals to ensure activity reflects and is in accordance with grant and contract funding rules. Compile the external reporting of complex research grants, agreements, and partnerships. Assist in the development and delivery of plans for training, education, and awareness of research systems, tools, & policies. Minimum Requirements: To be successful, you'll have: postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards, in accounting, finance, or other similar discipline, and extensive relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant accounting experience and/or education. Certified practising accountant/Chartered accountant. Previous experience at a senior administrative level in financial administration and related activities, preferably in a University or other large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures.
