About the role As part of the Property Team based onsite at the Homebush West corporate office, you will lead and manage the design, construction, and delivery of current and future projects. Additionally, you will provide leadership to junior members of the Project Management team within the Property Department. This role requires frequent travel. Responsibilities include; Deliver high-quality project management techniques and processes that align with the Group’s property strategy to achieve consistent and successful outcomes. Conduct feasibility analyses using both internal and external estimates and cost plans. Procure and lead a project team of external design professionals through the approval, detailed design, and tender processes. Manage the approval and tender/procurement processes. Provide valuable input on contractor appointments. Lead and manage project delivery, including financial and program reporting. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure end-user requirements are met. Coordinate tenancy arrangements. About you You will have project management experience, ideally in the retail sector, along with relevant tertiary qualifications. You will have a strong understanding of the project lifecycle, the National Construction Code, and key Australian Standards to be able to provide advice and evaluate external consultants’ designs, reports, and advice. You will also have: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Market knowledge of construction cost rate data. Commercial awareness regarding procurement techniques and methodologies. Demonstrated expertise in financial project modelling with a strong ability to understand and interpret data. Excellent commercial, technical, and analytical acumen.
