About the Department The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services. The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres. About the Division An exciting opportunity exists within School Digital Services Branch, School Technical Services in the Information Management and Technology Division (IMTD). IMTD provides innovative and integrated ICT Systems and information management services and support. About the Role The role offers technical leadership in the roadmap and design of information technology systems implemented across Victorian Public Schools. Collaborate with key stakeholders in the school technology sector to address the ICT needs and capabilities of schools. Partner with Technology Managers across Collaboration, Identity, Network, and Cloud platforms to create technology roadmaps for ICT solutions aimed at schools, ensuring scalability and adaptability to evolving technology and business needs. Develop and maintain frameworks and blueprints for deploying ICT solutions in new schools. Provide technical guidance in the creation and enhancement of ICT services for schools. Support the planning and development of technology roadmaps for school ICT service Attributes Translates organisational strategy into long-term plans, sets clear objectives, and motivates the team to achieve goals, ensuring alignment with organisational values. Manages team performance through role expectations, feedback, development, and effective workforce planning, while fostering a high-performing and committed team. Establishes systems to track progress, identifies resources and processes needed to meet goals, and addresses barriers proactively. Demonstrates financial expertise by managing budgets, monitoring expenditure, undertaking cost-benefit analysis, and ensuring transparent procurement processes. Builds strong working relationships, negotiates for resources, and ensures purchasing processes align with principles of accountability and value for money. Utilises contemporary knowledge of cloud platforms and services to improve business efficiency, while managing risks and resolving issues.
