With modern offices and the latest computer technology and software, our client is now seeking an experienced Accountant to assist the Senior Accountants and Team leaders. This role is full-time and ongoing. About you: Experience in a public practice environment. You have a demonstrated ability to complete work with minimal supervision. You can use the tax software efficiently and effectively to complete work within deadlines. You are quick to learn the firm's standard working papers and standards and can complete this in an efficient manner. You have a strong work ethic and are focused on achieving results through (and with) other team members. You continuously strive to learn and develop within your role, progressively taking on more complex work and tasks where needed. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Duties and Responsibilities include: Prepare client interim and end of year financial statements for review. Prepare tax and other compliance returns and monitor tax payments as they are made. Assist with the preparation of cashflow forecasts, letters, and Business Plans. Always maintain positive client relationships, communicating clearly and in a timely manner. Awareness of existing legislation, current developments, and ATO interpretation that may impact the work you are completing on behalf of the firm's clients. To be successfully considered for this exciting role you will have: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a highly relevant discipline such as Accounting. Progress towards CPA/CA (or an interest in obtaining same). At least three years professional, post-training experience (preferably more). Business software skills (especially in Xero and MYOB, amongst others, such as Reckon). Demonstrated skills in client management focused documentation, planning, and organisation. Effective time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia. Interested?
