The Role
The Library Technician will supervise the day-to-day operations of the Library and provision of reference, information, and associated services to teaching staff and students. As part of the role, you will administer library systems, ensuring library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed, so they are always accessible and available to students and staff. The successful applicant will conduct library skills and the use of library equipment, as well as providing technical advice on the library information technology system.
The successful applicant should display strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment. Ideally, you will possess strong computer skills across a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spread sheets and word processing.
Your ability to manage and resolve school Information Technology (IT) projects and issues will be highly regarded. You will ideally be collaborative, flexible, have a growth mindset, be solutions-focussed and use initiative.
This position will manage staff and resources at the MET and Tindale Campuses.
