The opportunity
As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the retirement village facilities are maintained and presented as professionally as possible at all times. This will include:
* Communicating with village managers to complete maintenance works based on urgency and priority
* Ensuring routine maintenance works are addressed within the required deadlines and documented accordingly
* Completing general repairs and maintenance tasks such as basic carpentry, painting and gardening
* Coordinating and supervising trades onsite
* Ensuring all administrative and reporting procedures associated with maintenance are completed
About you
You will be a person who enjoys working in a community environment, is highly trustworthy, and has empathy for older people.
In addition, you will have:
* Previous experience working in building & grounds maintenance
* First Aid Certificate
* Drivers Licence
Prior to commencing in this role you will also need to obtain a working with vulnerable people check.
