This Opportunity
As a Junior Data Processor, you will conduct planning, processing, and production of survey data, ensuring quality concerning client requirements. Work under the direction of the Data Centre Supervisor on data processing progress, issues, examples, and processing workflows while contributing towards company documentation, procedures, training development of processing systems supporting ongoing quality and efficiency improvements.
This role is based at our Perth headquarters overlooking the beautiful Elizabeth Quay.
Qualifications
* Completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree, specifically Surveying or Marine Science, or equivalent.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Essential Experience
* Minimum 2 years of experience in the Hydrographic Survey industry.
* Demonstrated safety management awareness.
* Ability to use established systems (Quality and Safety).
* Capable of building and sustaining effective relationships.
Desirable Experience
* MS Office suite
* QPS suite of products (Qinsy, Qimera, FMGT, FM)
* Caris HIPS (or similar bathymetry processing system)
* Surface and subsea navigation and positioning systems and navigation processing
* Basic knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data concepts.
* AutoCAD (or similar CAD system)
* Experience with GIS software, database management, or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
* Understanding of cartographic principles and map design.
* Familiarity with data visualization tools.
