Tresillian is currently recruiting for Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with Child and Family Health (CFH) post graduate qualifications to our Parents Help Line telephone service. The service operates daily from 7:00am until 11:00pm, 7 days a week rotating roster no night duty. These positions will be involved in the provision of quality child and family health services to families caring for children 0-5 years of age within a Tresillian service. The CFH RN/RM will use a strength-based and wellness focus, building on parental confidence and skills through the provision of information, education, resources, guidance, and role modelling safe responsive care. The CFH clinician, utilising evidenced based screening and assessment tools, uses their family partnership skills to identify health variations or family vulnerabilities to negotiate discharge pathways and referrals to support the family in the community. This position will be involved in the provision of quality child and family health services to families caring for children 0-5 years of age seeking support through the Parents Help Line. Quality services will be provided through a range of modes of delivery including telephone, telehealth virtual consultations and online interaction. This will be achieved by working within the Tresillian Model of Care, Practice Principles and the NSW Health Professional Practice Framework for Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN). The CFH nurse/midwife will use a strength-based and wellness focus, building on parental confidence and skills through the provision of information, education, resources, guidance, and role modelling safe responsive care. The child and family health nurse/midwife, utilising evidenced based screening and assessment tools, uses their family partnership skills to identify health variations or family vulnerabilities to negotiate individual care plans and discharge pathways to meet the goals of the family. The successful applicant/s will be supported by a comprehensive onboarding programme which includes innovative clinical supervision that will further increase your knowledge and confidence. For further information on Tresillian, please visit our website https://www.tresillian.org.au Selection Criteria – Applicants must address the Selection Criteria 1) Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 2) Postgraduate /post registration qualifications in Child and Family Health 3) Understanding of, and commitment to, evidence-based practice. 4) Demonstrated experience in attending to the physical, social, and emotional needs of children, and their families. 5) Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care. 6) Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles and skills of working in partnership and the principles that underpin NSW SafeStart, within a multidisciplinary team environment. 7) Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, including computer literacy that meets the National Informatics Standards for Nurses and Midwives. 8) Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C.
