Position Overview: We are currently seeking Male Disability Support Workers to join our team in Western Sydney. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in assisting clients to build essential life skills, access community services, and work towards their personal goals. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized support plans based on the unique needs of each client. Assist clients with daily living skills, community engagement, and support in education/employment. Provide mental health support to guide clients toward self-sufficiency. Support clients with social activities, transport, and personal care as needed. Maintain detailed and accurate case notes and documentation, ensuring adherence to meal time management plans and manual handling plans. What We’re Looking For: Qualifications: Cert III in Disability (or relevant experience). Experience: A strong background in disability support. Knowledge: Experience with conditions such as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), cerebrovascular disease, ischemic heart disease, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, major depressive disorder, and cognitive impairments. Shifts: Must be flexible and able to work sleep shifts (24 hours per day), and open to supporting 2 clients if needed. Requirements: Working With Children Check. NDIS Worker Screening Check. National Police Check via Rapid Screening. NSW Driver’s License (not international). Comprehensive Car Insurance and Registration. First Aid and CPR Certification. Proof of Work Rights in Australia (if applicable). Educational Qualifications Certificate.
