If you are an experiened Coomi Chef or Chef De Partie within the Pastry Wheelhouse we would love to talk with you.Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef - Pastry or Chef De Partie - Pastry to join our clients team at a high-volume manufacturing site.
This role involves assisting in the production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods on a large scale while maintaining the highest quality and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the large-scale preparation and production of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to standardised recipes and production schedules.Operate and maintain commercial bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters.Ensure consistency and quality by following company recipes and production guidelines.Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP).Assist with ingredient preparation, weighing, and portioning to support efficient production.Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the Pastry Supervisor.Follow strict health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Work collaboratively with the pastry team to meet production targets and deadlines.Contribute to minimising waste and improving efficiency in the production process.Requirements:A relevant culinary qualification or experience in a pastry/bakery production environment.Basic knowledge of large-scale pastry and baking techniques.Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices in a manufacturing setting.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and structured production environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.Good organisational skills and ability to follow precise instructions.Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings or weekends, if required.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Opportunities for training and career development within a growing company.A supportive team environment with exposure to large-scale pastry production.Staff discounts and other employee perks.If you are passionate about pastry and interested in gaining experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you!
