We provide a range of services including emergency, surgical, mental health, maternity, and specialist outpatient clinics. About the role: The role plans, implements, manages, and evaluates administrative services within Rockhampton Hospital. The position is part of a team responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring administration officers to provide patient focused service delivery. This position specifically includes coordination, supervision, and recruitment processes for the following areas: Switchboard Services, Rockhampton Hospital Reception, Administrative Ward Staff, Directors Secretaries, Administration Relief and Casual Pools. The Senior Administration Officers within the Administration and Development Unit, each position holds a portfolio to ensure an equitable allocation of duties. It is expected that each position will have a knowledge of all functions of the Administration Support & Development Unit. About you: While not mandatory, a relevant Cert IV, Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Health Management, or similar, would be well regarded. Proven ability to lead an administrative team within a multidisciplinary environment, including providing professional supervision, development, mentoring and guidance to administrative support staff. Demonstrated commitment to quality client service and the ability to work efficiently in a self-directed manner and to direct others in a team environment to ensure the achievement of work unit goals.
