Cyber Security Specialist at Grant Thornton Australia
We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to help safeguard our computer networks and systems and optimise the security posture of our environment.
This role will be based in Melbourne or Brisbane within the Digital team, which supports the business's growth ambitions and protects its digital assets.
The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of firewalls, proxies, and network topology management.
They will also have experience with security tools such as SIEM|XDR, DLP, SSE, CASB, EDR and Vulnerability Management.
Familiarity with Frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, MITRE, OWASP, Essential 8 & DevSecOps practices and tools is essential.
A foundational understanding of programming and scripting languages, including python, PowerShell for automation is also required.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is highly desirable.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitor and respond to cyber security tickets and alerts, providing remediation guidance and regular reports to the Head of Cyber Security.
* Lead vulnerability assessments, analyse and prioritise vulnerabilities, develop remediation plans, and update the vulnerability management program.
* Implement and manage advanced threat protection solutions, respond to security alerts and incidents, conduct threat intelligence analysis, and maintain incident response plans.
* Support internal information security compliance activities including audits, evidence gathering, and assessment periods.
* Perform regular penetration testing, document findings, provide recommendations, and collaborate with teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
* Support the Cloud Security Specialist in conducting technical security assessments of cloud environments and infrastructure and implement security controls and best practices for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
