A Local Council in Central West Queensland is seeking a qualified Manager of Engineering Services to oversee the planning, design, and delivery of engineering projects across multiple towns. About You
* A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* RPEQ registration and current Queensland C-Class Driver's Licence
* Minimum 6 years of civil engineering experience (ideally in Local Government)
* At least 5 years of project management experience in public works or infrastructure
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Knowledge of construction standards, contract administration, and compliance
* Experience managing internal teams, contractors, and consultant engineers
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the delivery of capital works and infrastructure programs
* Overseeing engineering design, budget management, and construction contracts
* Ensuring projects meet compliance, safety, and community standards
* Leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across departments
* Liaising with consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies
