Additionally, this role involves:Ensuring the fleet of heavy vehicles, light vehicles and yellow gear is safe and compliant through appropriate maintenance scheduling and timely repairs when required.Building and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with Regional Managers and Branch Managers to ensure availability for maintenance and optimise vehicle utilisation for operations.Leading planning teams and fleet support personnel on maintenance planning.Monitoring and reporting fleet and equipment financial performance according to plan and schedule.Managing financial forecast for maintenance and repair.Providing technical support.Ensuring branches have sufficient and adequate fleet resources to service their customers’ requirements.Ensuring training and capability is established in workshops and operations to diagnose and troubleshoot technology problems.Managing relationships with third parties such as maintenance contractors, auto electricians, hydraulic experts, etc.Supporting the national team on asset disposals.Managing asset compliance with state and commonwealth regulations.Monitoring and reporting on fleet and equipment availability and utilisation.Ensuring the business fleet team is fully trained in their duties, have necessary qualifications and licences, and providing ongoing monitoring of performance.Keeping abreast of industry trends and legislated changes which impact Fleet, making recommendations and communicating/educating Fleet users on implications.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Tertiary qualification in engineering/maintenance/logistics/business.Significant experience in a Fleet management and/or maintenance role.Knowledge of logistics and maintenance systems.Sound knowledge and understanding of transport/waste industry fleet and equipment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Influencing skills as well as the ability to manage expectations.Experience in the use of JDE - E1 and P&E modules will be well regarded.Intermediate experience using the Microsoft Office suite.Our ProcessOur recruitment process involves a number of checks including, but not limited to, criminal history, medicals, drug & alcohol testing, as well as verification of qualifications, licences and right-to-work status.We are dedicated to improving employment outcomes and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
