Job Description: S&W Asset Management, in collaboration with one of Australia's leading coal producers, is seeking talented and experienced Engineers to join their Asset Management and Engineering Team. The ideal candidates will have a robust understanding of design, construction, and maintenance engineering principles. Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our client's water and tailings storage systems. This position requires strict adherence to relevant governance and legislative requirements to minimize the risk of failures across project deliverables. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations, routine maintenance, and continuous surveillance of dam structures to ensure optimal performance and safety. Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and response strategies to address potential dam-related emergencies. Manage the installation, calibration, and maintenance of dam instrumentation systems to monitor structural health and performance. Ensure the implementation and verification of critical controls to prevent dam failures and mitigate associated risks. Oversee the governance and execution of remedial design and construction projects to maintain and enhance dam integrity. Engage with and support stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, community groups, and internal teams, to ensure transparent communication and collaboration. Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and governance standards to uphold safety and operational excellence. Ensure all activities align with the standards and systems established by the mine sites. Implement and adhere to guidelines and standards for tailings management at state, national, and global levels. Incorporate the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) requirements into site operations to enhance safety and sustainability. Participate in and support internal and external audits and reviews to ensure continuous improvement and compliance. Provide support to other RDE/RTFEs across various sites when required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is desirable. Proven experience in tailings and water storage facilities, covering design, construction, operation, and maintenance phases. Strong understanding and application of engineering principles, standards, and processes. Highly organized and adaptable, capable of managing conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for operational use and influence stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
