Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service (AWAHS) is dedicated to delivering high-quality Health Care Services to the Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander community in Albury, Wodonga, and surrounding areas.
We are seeking two reliable and community-focused Transport Drivers to safely transport AWAHS clients to and from their medical and specialist appointments on time and assist with the delivery of patient scripts. This role plays a vital part in promoting AWAHS services while ensuring that transport support remains accessible, safe, and culturally respectful .
You will also be required to:
o Maintain high standards when interacting with clients, service providers, and the public.
o Conduct weekly vehicle checks, cleaning, fuelling, and report scheduled services to the Transport Coordinator.
o Maintain medical journey records and complete vehicle logbooks.
o Prepare written reports on transport activities when requested.
o Assist with phone calls and appointment bookings and actively promote AWAHS services.
The ideal candidates will have:
o An excellent driving record, with a requirement that recommended applicants will need to supply a current driving record.
o A strong knowledge of the Albury and Wodonga area .
o The ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with the local Aboriginal community.
o Proven organisational and problem-solving skills .
o A current Driver's licence .
