Machinist:
Must have experience in:
Experience in manual lathe turning and manual vertical milling with X/Y axis with digital controller.
Experience is radial arm drill and power hacksaw operation
Machining a wide range of materials – plastics, bronze, alloy etc
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to:
Read detailed engineering drawings to determine machine settings and material used in manufacturing of parts.
Work to fine tolerances and accuracies in all milling, grinding, drilling and lathe operations.
Setting machines stops and guides, setting tooling correctly for machines operation in shaping and pressing
Cutting of threads, bending and install of pneumatic and hydraulic pipes
Ability to measure internally and externally with precision instruments to check fabricated parts for accuracy.
Diagnosis of machine faults and performing of maintenance to the machines operated
Fitment of fabricated parts to assemblies to ensure accuracy and clearances are correct
Machining, grinding and drilling of foundry cast metal to fine tolerances.
Possible new machine installation and commissioning
Lineboring experience would also be advantageous but not essential.
Essential Criteria
Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes.
Demonstrated commitment to safety.
Ability to pass medical, drug and alcohol testing.
Auto-Electrician:
Must have experience in:
Experience in Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet and Caterpillar machine electrical repairs.
Ability to trouble shoot and repair electrical faults in harnesses and electronic systems.
Ability to troubleshoot CANBUS electrical systems.
Proven diagnostic skills with the ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment.
Experience in air conditioning repairs, overhaul, and maintenance.
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams to facilitate repairs.
Ability to test and repair, remove and refit alternators and starter motors
Ability to diagnose and replace defective parts such as light assemblies, circuit breakers and fuses
Ability to install electrical systems and components into machines
* Current driver’s license essential
* Hold a current medical and ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
* Have a high standard and positive attitude toward safety.
Diesel Motor Mechanic:
Reporting to the workshop manager, you will be responsible for
- Conducting service and diagnostic activities across a range of earthmoving equipment
- Complete on site repairs, inclusive of completing tasks in a timely manner and to a very high standard
- Complete workshop repairs and component rebuilds in our fully equipped workshop located in Mount Isa
* All trade applicants require prior experience in all facets of surface and underground mining equipment. Caterpillar and Jumbo repair and maintenance experience would be preferable. Technical training can be offered to the suitable candidate.

* Hold a current medical and ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
* Have a high standard and positive attitude toward safety.
