Western Suburbs State Special School ( https://smartjobs.qld.gov.au/jobs/westernsuburbsspecs.eq.edu.au ) has strong leadership dedicated to supporting all staff. It is also the only special school in Queensland with four Heads of Department, ensuring that each sector has a dedicated HOD to provide teachers with curriculum guidance and ongoing support. In addition, we have three deputy principals who lead each sector's curriculum and pedagogy while also providing comprehensive support, including student behaviour management. Our school is now halfway through implementing Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) across the school, reinforcing the commitment to a positive and inclusive learning environment for all.
