Reporting to the plant or production engineer, not only will you support site operations including production, you will also assist in plant and facility maintenance at our state-of-the-art contaminated thermal treatment and soil washing facility.What's on offerFantastic training and career development opportunitiesSupportive, collaborative team cultureCompetitive hourly rate and benefitsWhat you'll be responsible forEnsure facility compliance with operating license conditions and review client environmental reports to verify contaminated soils meet treatment capabilities.Manage quality assurance and control processes for contaminated and treated soils, including sampling, documentation, lab liaison, and result analysis.Prepare treated soil summary reports and coordinate with authorised assessors for disposal approval.Monitor and report on environmental factors such as treated surface run-off, air quality, and dust levels at the facility.Conduct lab trials to determine appropriate chemical treatments for contaminated soils and review treatment plant process data for compliance.Perform environmental audits, thermal imaging surveys, and provide technical support to the production team while assisting in waste movement tracking.What you'll need to be successfulTertiary degree in a relevant engineering field (environmental, industrial or chemical).Exposure in the operation of a process plant, plant unit processes and diagnostic methods.Strong ability to communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders.1+ years in an environmental consulting, waste management, manufacturing or production environment, with a focus on environmental management.Veolia’s AlwaysSafe culture means that we care about the safety of people on our sites.
