As we expand, we seek a motivated and versatile Sales and Procurement Manager to build strong client relationships, drive sales, and oversee procurement to streamline operations and enhance growth.
Role Overview: As the Sales and Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and handling all aspects of procurement. This dual role requires a dynamic individual with strong negotiation skills and industry knowledge to ensure efficient sourcing, competitive pricing, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing product information and responding to inquiries. Identify and target new business opportunities, expanding the company's customer base. Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote products and services. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to senior management.
Procurement responsibilities: oversee the sourcing and procurement of raw materials and supplies to support production requirements. Build relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to avoid production delays. Analyse and manage purchasing budgets to achieve cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, standards, and regulations. Collaborate with production and logistics teams to align procurement with operational needs.
Key Selection Criteria:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in sales and procurement roles, ideally within the manufacturing or recycling industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
Skills and Experience: Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and cost control. Ability to develop and execute strategies for sales growth and efficient procurement. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels. Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Analytical skills to assess market trends, costs, and supplier performance.
