Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced and proactive Program Director to lead and support our team in delivering key projects for our large-scale government client and stakeholders. In this role, you will design and implement strategies to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will provide strong leadership, manage team members effectively, and ensure full compliance with contracts, company policies, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage program budgets, ensuring alignment with client-approved financial plans and timely processing of invoices and cash flow forecasting.
* Lead the development and delivery of Capital Works projects, including planning, budgeting, scoping, tendering, and risk management, while ensuring security, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
* Create and manage detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, governance structures, procurement strategies, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with quality assurance, OH&S, environmental sustainability, and legal standards, maintaining adherence to all relevant regulations and BGIS business systems.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery and continuous improvement in client satisfaction.
* Regularly evaluate and report on project status, risks, and opportunities, ensuring transparent communication and alignment with client needs and business priorities.
* Lead and manage two (2) direct reports, focusing on driving asset performance, compliance, and delivering high-quality service across all areas, while holding team members accountable to performance standards.
* Foster a positive and collaborative team environment by promoting teamwork, coaching, and supporting team members to achieve business goals and personal growth.
Education, Experience, and Skills
* Extensive Project and Capital Works Management: Proven experience in delivering complex projects and managing capital expenditure (Capex) works, major works programs, including financial program production, lifecycle programs, and line of works, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
* Senior Project Management and Delivery Expertise: Strong background as a Senior Project Manager or Program Lead with extensive experience in project delivery and design, overseeing all stages from initiation to completion, ensuring efficient and effective execution of large-scale projects.
* Strong Relationship and Contract Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders, using effective diplomacy and contract management to foster long-term partnerships.
* Business Acumen and Financial Management: Strong understanding of business planning and financial management, with high-level skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to produce and manage financial programs and ensure successful project delivery.
* OHS and Compliance Expertise: Experience managing Occupational Health and Safety on construction sites (including refurbishments, fit-outs, and new builds), ensuring strict adherence to QA, OH&S, and environmental systems.
* Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and hold individuals accountable while fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
* Graduate Diploma of Project Management; Trade Certificate in a relevant discipline (e.g., drafting, building and construction, carpentry, electrical, HVAC mechanic, mechanical engineering technician); or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Architecture, Building/Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
* Post-trade or post-graduate qualifications in Building Systems, Project Management, Engineering, or Business Management; accreditation as a NABERS assessor; and an Accredited Green Star professional.
