Position: Senior Transactional Risk Broker - M&A
Location: Sydney (Melbourne considered)
About the Role:
Marsh is seeking highly skilled candidates to join our Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) Practice. As a Senior Transactional Risk Broker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clients through M&A insurance solutions, with a focus on warranties and indemnities (W&I) insurance. This commercially focused position offers the opportunity to lead impactful M&A projects within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Our Transactional Risk practice within PEMA boasts a strong track record of supporting clients through interesting and complex M&A transactions worldwide, delivering customized M&A insurance solutions for high-profile deals. Your Roles and Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic advice on insurance solutions for M&A transactions.
* Manage and take ownership of the policy and coverage negotiation process to develop enhanced and bespoke policy wordings to ensure the client’s commercial objectives are achieved.
* Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with the local M&A community.
* Act as the primary contact for clients throughout the M&A process, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service.
* Take on a critical project management role to ensure successful outcomes.
* Mentor and guide junior brokers, fostering their professional growth.
* Project Marsh’s principles externally and internally, and be an ambassador for Marsh by creating thought leadership and by hosting/chairing industry events.
* Manage multiple projects and coordinate various workstreams / advisors to ensure transaction timelines and objectives are met.
Qualifications:
* M&A experience of 4+ years (ideally with a combination of legal and insurance experience).
* Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, commerce, or a related field.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
