Engeny is currently seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist with 7+ years of experience to be a part of our passionate and entrepreneurial team.Engeny is a growing employee-owned engineering and environmental consultancy with locations across Australia.We provide innovative and progressive solutions to our clients, offering a range of services from water infrastructure design, flood management, civil and geotechnical design to environmental management, approvals, closure and remediation.You will be joining an experienced team of dedicated professionals delivering high-quality work specifically for blue-chip mining clients across Western Australia.At Engeny, diversity is not just a value.Our culture fosters mutual respect, valuing the diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences that each person brings to the team.Key Responsibilities The Senior Project Controls Specialist will establish and maintain the project control baselines used to manage the project, control change, monitor progress, identify trends and risks, and evaluate performance, to support project decisions.The role is also responsible for providing project managers with information on the scope, progress, costs and forecast completion, whilst actively managing the project.Ensure the project meets time, cost, quality, risk, environmental, and safety standards as specified by stakeholders.Execute tasks assigned by the Project Manager, maintain open communication, and facilitate cooperation within the project team.Develop and uphold project control systems for scheduling, cost control, quality management, progress monitoring, and reporting.Collaborate with the Project Lead and work stream leads to assess and secure necessary resources promptly.Establish and maintain project team budgets and forecasts.Coordinate study and design projects covering cost, planning and scheduling functions.Oversee risk management activities and maintain the project risk register as per the program's Risk Management Framework.Develop and keep project management and controls plans current throughout each project phase.Lead and coordinate project reviews, and internal audits.Document and implement project team control functions.Ensure the project's scheduling and cost control functions are maintained.Provide information for monitoring and reporting project performance and initiate corrective actions as needed.Supply information to report project status.Notify the project management team early about any adverse cost and time impacts or trends, issues, delays, or contractual difficulties that could impact the project.Record and authorise all changes and variations to the agreed budget.Collate and manage capital cost estimates. About You You are looking to be a part of and contribute to the growth and development of the Project Controls discipline.A Bachelor's degree in Engineering Project or Construction Management, Applied Science, or similar field; or Diploma of Project Management (PMP).Over 7 years of experience in Construction, Engineering, Planning, and Project Controls ideally within industry and consulting.Proven leadership with exceptional interpersonal skills and a reputation for unwavering moral and ethical integrity.Experience in leading project controls teams in large-scale, multi-disciplinary project environments.Proficiency in planning software and tools.Ability to ensure planning, scheduling, cost, quality, and document control measures meet governance standards.Capability to manage and motivate teams to exceed deliverables.Excellent communicator at all levels of project and corporate personnel.Skilled in training, educating, and influencing stakeholder adoption of project control systems and governance structures.Solution-oriented thinker, able to listen attentively and make confident decisions under high-pressure situations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence.
