DFP Kalgoorlie are seeking an experienced Service Technician – Mechanical to engage a permanent position with our national client-based in Kalgoorlie.
Working closely with the Area Service Manager of Kalgoorlie, this role will see the successful candidate support the EPSA generators across the Goldfields Region. You will undertake maintenance and repairs autonomously and minimise potential downtime of generator sets.
Position Responsibilities: Fault finding and troubleshooting problems with plant and equipment.Carrying out and completing routine maintenance activities.Provide detailed reports for routine maintenance tasks and unplanned maintenance events.Planning for major and routine outages in line with client and company requirements.Participate in incident investigations.Liaise with team members in recognising improvements and efficiencies in activities, processes and plant.Recording daily operational information, completing service orders, stocktaking, ordering parts and materials.Drive and maintain compliance and a positive, safe and wellbeing culture in the workplace.Experience and Knowledge for the Role: Mechanical trade qualifications – Fitter or Diesel and Australian recognised.Nationally accredited forklift licence (desirable).Background and experience in operating and or repairing diesel power generation equipment.Sound knowledge of computer and software systems.Ability to operate in remote areas autonomously.Self-driven, motivated and well organised.Strong and effective communicators across stakeholders.Why Join Us?
