The opportunity
BecaHunterH2O is one of the most exciting and dynamic teams in the Australian water industry. We are positioned exceptionally well with a very strong foundation of client partnerships in both metropolitan and regional utilities. Our specialist capabilities in process engineering, complex brownfield design, utility planning, decarbonisation and circular economy means we are positioned well for growth and to undertake projects that have real impact.
Our Australian water team has actively support sustainable water management in the Pacific islands for 20 years and we are positive around continuing to make on going difference for our Pacific neighbours. We are also actively working in several remote indigenous communities in Australia to provide safe drinking water.
We are seeking an experienced leader in the Australian water sector to join our team based in any of our Eastern Seaboard offices in Australia. This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in one of Beca Australia’s priority growth markets.
Reporting to the Managing Director Beca Australia, you’ll join our Australian leadership team and primarily be responsible for:
1. Providing leadership to the whole of ANZ water business line strategy and develop a sound understanding of the context for growing the AU water business sales pipeline.
2. Collaborating with the water team to lead the development and implementation of a national water growth strategy.
3. Collaborating with the AU Water General Manager in leading the growth team, strategizing early game planning for major pursuits and growth opportunities, and refining our partnership strategy for market pursuits in the water industry.
4. Leading and empowering our water team to further build on our culture of client connectedness so everyone is playing a role in the sustainable growth of our water business.
5. Building whole of water team capability around winning pursuits.
6. Work closely with the marketing team to enhance the organisations brand presence within the Water sector. This includes leveraging marketing initiatives, thought leadership, and targeted campaigns to enhance Beca’s position as a leader in the market.
7. Achieve sales targets, ensuring opportunities are turned into commercial outcomes for business lines and be involved with regularly tracking progress against sales plan and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve sales targets and strategic goals.
About you
You’ll have deep market knowledge and extensive industry connections to complement our current Water sector capability and leadership, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and creating opportunities for thought leadership from our many great people. You’ll take ownership of our brand in the marketplace, and you’ll have proven ability to develop and execute sustainable business growth strategies.
You’ll work collaboratively across the business including with the General Manager – Water AU and our Water market leaders and have exceptional leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
