What You Will Do In this role you will lead SAM Consulting projects and work collaboratively with other Software Asset Management (SAM) team members, Software Licensing Consultants, and Customer account teams. The Senior Software Asset Management Consultant will: Function as the Senior Consulting SAM Subject Matter Expert for our customers and the SAM team. Deliver SAM Consulting services relevant to today's changing technology landscape and market demands. Assess and Deliver Compliance Reviews (License Compliance Positions) for Customers. Deliver commercial and contract advisory services to customers in relation to their Tier 1 Software Publishers. Improve our customers audit readiness and audit defence posture. For high-risk Publishers, establish Vendor Management Frameworks for our customers, and provide guidance to SAM team members to effectively support the framework through operational activities. Review current software licensing Terms and Conditions, License Agreements, and License Contracts to identify any breaches or risks for our customers. Apply knowledge of licensing rules and use rights within SAM Consulting Services. Develop, Document, and Present licensing modelling recommendations to our customers. Lead the achievement of the outcomes of multiple projects and customer contracts. Develop license reclamation strategies to initiate cost avoidance activities. Propose remediation and optimisation activities that may result in reduced compliance risk and/or financial savings and cost avoidance. Utilise SAM technologies and their capabilities including Flexera's FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS), Snow License Manager, and Service Now SAM Pro. Interpret data outputs from the SAM technologies and other tools to provide accurate and timely reporting. Consult with service management, and customer teams to define, optimise, and develop SAM standards, processes, procedures, plans and controls to ensure appropriate service asset information is recorded and maintained. Support the managed and professional services sales process by providing insight to the bid manager into the required effort, dependencies, exclusions, etc. What You Will Bring We are looking for an independent, proactive, highly skilled, and enthusiastic team member who is interested in being part of and being able to work with a larger group delivering a high-quality SAM Consulting solutions to our customers. You will hopefully bring expertise developed in at least 3 years in a Software Asset Management position or working in an audit or licensing role for a software publisher. You will be able to lead a range of interesting activities relating to software licensing advisory, audit defence, and compliance management with Tier 1 Software Publishers (including Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, Micro Focus) on behalf of our customers and also lead in the delivery of the Software Asset Management (SAM) managed services projects for multiple customers from Commercial and Government industries. Experience with Oracle licensing and compliance will be particularly important. This role can be based out of any Datacom office in Australia. Australian Citizenship is essential for Federal Government security clearance requirements. Preferably, you will be a holder of either a current or lapsed Baseline clearance or higher.
