This is a 10-12 months contract role (MELBOURNE BASED ONLY).
About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle and comprehensive product strategy for our consumer credit cards.
Responsibilities
* Developing a clear Product vision and strategy.
* Understand the performance of current products, manage product P&L performance to collaborate with key stakeholders on developing initiatives to improve overall profitability.
* Managing the overall Product P/L across propriety, rewards, co-brand and white label cards.
* Monitor market trends for the development of new products, features and benefits (considering the competitive context, strategic capabilities, customer desirability and the ability to execute strongly, driving long-term, sustainable growth).
* Key responsibility for developing both short and long-term product plans, value propositions including customer journeys, pricing models, partner agreements and product roadmaps.
* Identify, evaluate and prioritise business cases for new business and product opportunities, and build business models to deliver sustainable business growth.
* Ensure continuous improvement across the product following PME (Product Management Excellence) disciplines.
* Develop, plan and execute revenue generating actions and investments in order to protect and grow Product revenues on a continuous basis.
* Drive continuous improvement in the customer value proposition to deliver key commercial outcomes – profitable growth.
Required Skills
* Extensive experience in managing a P&L.
* 10+ years of experience in product management within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on credit card products.
* Strong business acumen, critical thinking and thought leadership that delivers solution-oriented results to consumers.
* Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, capable of using market research and customer insights to drive product enhancements.
* Strong relationship building skills and being able to work in cross-functional teams to embed quality outcomes.
Pay range and compensation package
Day rate up to $1,000.
