The Role We have an opportunity for Engineers to join our Applied Science team in Perth, Australia where we use our expert knowledge to develop technical and bespoke solutions for our clients. Our clients include Oil & Gas and petrochemical operators, Engineering, Construction, Procurement and Maintenance (EPCM) contractors as well as specialised consultants and industry bodies. Responsibilities The role is dependent upon both the experience and skillset of the applicant and the projects underway in the office but will require supporting projects across a range of disciplines, including structural dynamics, technical safety and thermo-fluids. Recent example activities include: Fire Load Response Analysis; Blast analysis and design for critical infrastructure; Hydrocarbon fire modelling for offshore facilities; Advanced fluid flow modelling for process facilities; Seismic assessment and design; Risk assessment, qualitative and quantitative; Safety Case support. Requirements Candidates must hold as a minimum a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Physics or Applied Mathematics and must be able to demonstrate excellent understanding of fundamental principles and strong problem-solving ability. Programming skills and knowledge of statistical techniques would be an advantage. Key qualities are a willingness to learn new skills, to listen to the problem and to be open-minded about the solution. A passion to tackle new and interesting problems is essential.
