We are seeking candidates for the following position based in the West Leederville office:
Injury Management Advisor, Workerspensation Claims Management
What can you expect?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at LGIS - a mutual indemnity scheme providing WA localernments with claims administration and risk services, including injury management.
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality injury management services to staff of localernment organisation across WA. You will be working collaboratively with the clients and their immediate and broader claims team to produce cost effective oues for the scheme. In turn, this brings the best oue and timely settlement of claims.

New Graduates are wee to apply. We will build on your university education by providing you with the learning and support required to be apetent and confident Injury Management Advisor.
As a new graduate at LGIS, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of injuries, be mentored and coached by a Senior Occupational Therapist and trained in understanding the injury management and legislative landscape.
You will have exposure to a range of injuries and grow as a clinician, learning about all disciplines, surgeries, rehabilitation protocols, legislation, and strategic thinking.
You will have opportunities to work closely with the leading therapists, surgeons, and legal providers in the industry to learn and develop as an injury management advisor.
You will have opportunity to travel within Western Australia and be mentored to achieve the below requirements of the role.
We will count on you to:
Deliver Injury Management related services to staff of localernment organisation across WA to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Including:
5. Management of injury management aspects of all Workerspensation claims and collaboration with all parties for the entire claim (from end to end).
6. Triaging and development of strategic injury management strategies on claims.
7. Continuous monitoring of allied health treatment on claims including liaising with service providers and reviewing all treatment requests.
8. Continuous monitoring of workplace rehabilitation providers including liaising with service providers, development of goals and strategic plans.
9. Accurate decision making in line with relevant legislation and policy wordings.
10. Delivering education and mentoring services to member organisations.
11. Provision of regular industry news and information to member organisations around injury management to allow for proactive management of workplace risks and meeting legislative requirements.
12. Proactively updating information on LGIS website, E-Bulletins, publications and othermunication channels to raise awareness of injury management practices.
13. Project management, working closely with senior injury management advisor to develop initiatives to improve claims oues.
14. Regular face to face client visits and claims reviews
What you will ideally have:
15. Formal tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Psychology
16. Minimum of 1 year of clinical or workplace rehabilitation experience or a new graduate.
17. You are passionate about making a difference to people's lives.
18. You have a learning mindset andmitment to continuous development.
19. A willingness to travel across WA to support all localernments who are members of LGIS, supported by a current WA driver's license.
20. Pool vehicle will be supplied by thepany for employee use as well as laptop, mobile phone andpany corporate credit card.
