We are looking for a BIM Designer specialising in Electrical or Mechanical services.
Key Responsibilities
1. You will be creating and coordinating complex electrical models whilst linking those models with all other disciplines in a single model environment to fully build our Data Centre projects digitally before breaking ground on site.
2. You will be Red-lining and/or modifying new and existing plan set documentation regarding Electrical or Mechanical systems.
3. Preparing and developing detailed Revit models of Electrical or Mechanical systems.
4. Updating and modifying existing models and drawing sets as required.
5. Managing the creation, issuing and revisions of drawings & models.
6. Coordinating of MEP services with all other disciplines to develop clash resolved models and export coordinated drawing sets from same.
7. Creating and releasing data centre Mechanical or Electrical designs and collaboration in a fast-paced environment to scheduled targets.
8. Working on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
9. Working as part of an internal CSAMEP design team.
10. Providing coordination support for information requests during construction phases.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years BIM/CAD experience in the area of Mechanical or Electrical Building Design & services.
• Experience using Revit to design and coordinate large Mechanical or Electrical projects.
• Working knowledge of building engineering and construction technology.
• Experience in developing Single Line schematics and layout drawings and understanding the relationship between both.
• Experience taking drawings from conceptual design through construction documents.
• Good understanding of Mechanical and/or Electrical systems and their configuration within data centres.
• Experience in the establishment and management of BIM models including orientation, geo-positioning, coordination and the setup of review models.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling with 8+ years’ strong Revit/CAD experience in the area of Mechanical or Electrical building services.
• 4+ years' experience designing electrical systems on mission critical projects.
• Experience of modelling/drawing deliverables for Data Centres or other large facilities (Pharmaceutical, Fabrication Plants, Hospitals, etc.).
• Understanding LEAN Engineering.
• Excellent organization skills in archival & maintenance operations of project documents.
• Organized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Be a motivated, highly dependable & team player individual.
• Possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail.
• Good understanding of quality standards and national standards.
