In this role, you'll: Oversee the below. Provision of subject matter expertise on the properties and testing of construction materials and in the policy areas of infrastructure quality to internal and external construction materials testing laboratories, project teams and other stakeholders.Review and amendment of TfNSW standards including technical guides and test methods to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness in line with technology advancements and industry trends.Training relevant to construction materials testing, as required.Maintenance, development, and utilisation of materials testing data analytics and application tools to identify and manage technical risks and/or quality on Infrastructure projects.Identifying areas of continuous improvement and implementation of innovative solutions to resolve issues relating to data anomalies and risks where appropriate.Performing regular integrated audits for construction materials testing on TfNSW projects and ensuring effective close out of non-conformances identified.Organising proficiency programs to enable uniform and adequate standards of testing expected on TfNSW projects.Conducting panel assessments for application to the TfNSW Registration Scheme for Construction Industry Contractors (Category L relevant to laboratories). Key Challenges: Identifying technical risk and non-conformances in construction industry laboratories while managing the audit process in a professional and confidential matter.Ensuring correct testing, investigation procedures and standards are followed for example Australian Standards, TfNSW standards and/or other international standards.Troubleshooting technical issues associated with construction materials and testing, supporting TfNSW project teams. Role is based in Paramatta. It involves frequent travel. This is a permanent full time role. Role description.
