About the Role is is seeking an experienced and dedicated Acting Assistant Principal - Pedagogy and Learning. This is a Acting position and is a fixed-termappointment for 3 months,and this role commences from 13 January 2025.Secondments for this position will be considered. The position of Assistant Principal - Pedagogy and Learning shares with the Principal the responsibility for learning and teaching and the development of both high expectations of students and staff and a high performance culture in the school measured through student engagement and student outcomes. The Assistant Principal - Pedagogy and Learning will assume a senior leadership role, working with staff to drive the development, implementation and evaluation of teaching and student learning and growth across the school. Full accreditation to teach in a Catholic School and accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school The capacity to enact leadership focused on living and sharing the Catholic faith, the Mission of the Church and the Catholic school ethos, with the intention of influencing and enriching the lives of students, staff and other members of the school community. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner. Current Driver's Licence Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville Five years of successful teaching experience, preferably across a range of year-levels Masters or other post graduate qualification in Theology, Religious Education or Educational Leadership Can show evidence of educational, pastoral, theological and managerial aspects of school leadership.
