This position involves leading negotiations to secure the best financial outcomes, adhering to procurement processes, and collaborating closely with Vendor Management and Line of Business teams.
The Procurement Manager will contribute to the development of the Strategic Sourcing function, ensure supplier contracts meet all regulatory standards, and stay ahead of industry trends by identifying emerging technologies and supplier innovations.To be successful at Smartgroup you will have:Ability to lead negotiations and secure favorable financial outcomes, risk mitigation, and service level agreements (SLA).In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and the ability to ensure compliance and efficiency.Experience working closely with Vendor Management, Line of Business teams, and other departments such as IT, Finance, People & Culture, Legal & Risk.Capability to contribute to the development and maturity of the Strategic Sourcing function by embedding best practices, governance, and sourcing frameworks.Understanding of regulatory, security, and performance standards to ensure supplier contracts meet all necessary requirements.Ability to stay ahead of industry trends by identifying emerging technologies and supplier innovations.AI Integration: Experience or willingness to support the integration of AI in procurement functions to enhance efficiency and innovation.Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analysing spend patterns, identifying trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement in procurement processes.Flexibility to work in an Agile environment and adapt to changing business needs and objectives.Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.Belong to an organisation that values diversity, inclusivity, and you:Working at Smart means you will be working in one of Australia's most authentic, inclusive, and diverse workplaces.Team members enjoy many benefits and 'perks' that genuinely value them for who they are.
