Job Overview:
The position will be based in Wadeville, and the incumbent will report to the BU Manager. The role involves ensuring the continuous availability of all consumable materials and equipment, implementing and maintaining EHS and Quality policies, and providing inputs into the annual budgeting process.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the continuous availability of consumable materials and equipment to facilitate smooth work flow and avoid production delays;
* Implement, enforce, and maintain Company's EHS policies and procedures;
* Implement, enforce, and maintain Company's Quality policies and procedures;
* Provide inputs into the annual budgeting process in line with departmental objectives;
* Ensure staff opportunities for training and development in accordance with work requirements;
* Control overtime, time and attendance, and time keeping;
* Ensure statutory, legal, safety compliance training for staff;
* Ensure a sound ER climate prevails in work areas;
* Ensure safety of employees under Foreman's supervision;
* Manufacture components according to Komatsu engineering drawing;
* Meet delivery dates communicated to internal/external customers.
Requirements:
* Matric/Grade 12 qualification;
* Trade Test Qualification Red Seal: Electrical or Millwright preferably;
* N5/N6 Engineering qualification;
* Degree/Diploma in Operations Management/Engineering advantageous;
* At least 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing/mining engineering environment;
* Ability to read electrical schematic and wiring drawings;
* Effective communication skills to work with team members;
* Valid Flameproof Certificate advantageous;
* Own reliable transport;
* Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
