Chef – Residential Aged Care | Monday to Friday | 9am–5pm
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join a well-respected Residential Aged Care provider, delivering high-quality meals and nutritional care to residents in a 45-bed facility.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hospitality professional who is looking for stability, work-life balance, and a rewarding role supporting the wellbeing of older Australians.
About the Role:
1. Prepare and serve nutritious meals for approximately 45 residents
2. Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm schedule (no weekends!)
3. Ensure all meals meet dietary and texture requirements (e.g., IDDSI)
4. Maintain a clean, safe and compliant kitchen in line with food safety regulations
5. Collaborate with care staff to accommodate resident needs and preferences
6. Assist with ordering, stock control, and kitchen documentation
About You:
1. Formal culinary qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
2. Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, or institutional catering preferred
3. Knowledge of dietary needs, including texture-modified and allergen-aware meals
4. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance
5. Excellent time management and communication skills
Additional Requirements:
1. Must be willing to undergo a National Police Check
2. NDIS Worker Screening Check required (or willingness to obtain)
