Aged Care and Retirement Living Sector Provectus Care is engaged in operating several high-quality Aged Care and Retirement Living facilities in Australia. The company has been operating for over 15 years and has developed an enviable reputation for providing premium levels of services and accommodation. We seek to appoint a Maintenance Officer to maintain existing plant and equipment and to provide services to residents accommodated in our facilities at Rose Bay.Candidate will have at least five years' experience in a building maintenance role and will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of achievement in that role. Candidate will bring the following knowledge, experience and skill sets for the position. A Trade qualification or certificate or a record of success as a Handyman in a similar role.Some familiarity and knowledge within the aged care sector and the Aged Care Quality Standards and legislation. An ability to plan and personally complete routine maintenance tasks on a day-to-day basis and in line with a preventative maintenance schedule.Excellent verbal communication skills and a proactive and professional work ethic to work with a broad base of people with varying backgrounds.Strong written skills and computer ability to produce reports on maintenance activities completed or planned.The interpersonal skills to collaboratively engage with stakeholders within and outside the organisation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment.A competent knowledge of current Work, Health and Safety requirements.A current National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.A current Driver's License.Excellent telephone, oral and written communications skills.Key Responsibilities of the Role To maintain existing plant, building and surrounds in safe and consistent working order in collaboration with contractors as required.Ensure the delivery of safe, inclusive and quality hospitality services to residents.Plan, coordinate and manage maintenance activities provided by outside contractors.Manage effective workplace procedures to ensure that safe care and service delivery is provided.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and keep management informed on any issues that could compromise health and safety of buildings and residents.
