Applications Close : Sunday 23rd March 2025 East Maitland Community Health Service is seeking a motivated, passionate, and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dedicated community nursing team in Dungog. In this role, you will provide essential generalist community nursing services to patients within our local community, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care.
Take charge of managing your own patient load while delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Provide essential nursing services, including wound care and catheter management, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure holistic, person-centred care. Offer support and guidance to less experienced practitioners and be part of a rotating Monday-to-Friday roster.
Key Responsibilities Provide clinical care tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring safe, effective, and timely interventions.Deliver wound care, including dressing changes and ongoing management.Manage catheter care across a range of patient age groups.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Palliative Care, Hospital in the Home, and other health services.Complete necessary clinical documentation and participate in case management as required.You will be a current Registered Nurse with AHPRA who : Is a compassionate and patient-centered individual with a strong clinical background.Can provide wound care and catheter management.Able to manage a caseload of 6-10 patients per day efficiently, ensuring all clinical and administrative requirements are met.A team player who can collaborate with other healthcare professionals and provide guidance to less experienced practitioners.Comfortable with rotating rosters and occasional weekend shifts.Committed to continuous professional development and open to ongoing education and training opportunities.Holds a current and valid Driver's Licence.If you are passionate about providing care to a vulnerable community, with a focus on person-centred practice, we encourage you to apply for this fulfilling Registered Nurse position at Dungog Hospital.
