Ridley has been an integral part of Australian agriculture for over 30 years and is dedicated to producing high-quality products and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and relieving as required, you will have experience working on a variety of manufacturing and grain handling equipment, safety management practices, and the ability to carry out both time-critical breakdown repairs whilst ensuring scheduled maintenance work is carried out.This hands-on role will also require you to schedule maintenance activities to ensure production targets and minimum downtime targets are achieved on a daily basis.Key responsibilities for this position include:Complying with relevant OHS/WHS legislation;Ensuring that the plant and equipment meets specified standards, is in safe working condition, and that QA requirements are maintained;Implementing and maintaining the Guardian maintenance system tracking stock of spares, general work orders, breakdowns, and preventative maintenance tasks;Monitoring operation of plant equipment and systems (OEE% Overall Equipment Efficiency & AV% Plant Availability);Implementing programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness (5S);Monitoring the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment, and initiating reordering when necessary;Any other responsibilities and/or authorities as specifically designated by Site Manager or Delegate;Maintain the equipment and take corrective troubleshooting actions as required;Monitor the operation of individual plant items (as required) and be able to identify abnormal operating conditions;Report problems that may affect the safety of plant & personnel, the quality of product, or risk to the environment;Relief the Maintenance Supervisor when away;Participate in Safety, Quality & Environment initiatives including training;Maintain the workplace and apply good housekeeping procedures.The key skills required for this role include:Trade Qualifications;Welding Qualifications;Motor vehicle licence;Mechanical aptitude;Previous experience in a meat processing / Maintenance environment;Good problem-solving and analytical skills;Experience in rebuilding Pumps, Cylinders, gearboxes;Able to work as part of a team and carry out risk assessments;Able to follow written instructions;Good communication and numeracy skills;Physically fit to undertake manual and repetitive tasks.How to apply:If you are a motivated and reliable individual looking to contribute to a dynamic production team, we encourage you to apply.
