Casual Retail Assistant
Role Purpose:
Casual retail assistants play a crucial role in driving sales revenue and delivering exceptional shopping experiences for our members and supporters. They are responsible for conducting the front-line selling effort, creating an engaging atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and possess a strong passion for elite sports. Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and Engage: Welcome customers, ask questions, and make recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
* Execute Brand Connection: Ensure fans enjoy a seamless shopping experience by executing brand strategies and initiatives.
* Maintain Standards: Maintain sales floor and stockroom standards, focusing on detail and quality.
* Process Transactions: Process sales transactions efficiently using our Point of Sale System.
* Housekeeping and Cleanliness: Ensure a clean and organized environment for our customers.
* Professionalism and Customer Service: Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and customer service at all times.
* Sales and Revenue Growth: Seek opportunities to improve average transaction value and drive sales growth.
* Additional Responsibilities: Perform additional tasks as directed by management to ensure the success of our team.
Requirements:
* Experience: Previous retail or sales experience is preferred.
* Independence and Responsibility: Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment.
* Availability: Available to work extended hours on game days and during events.
* Fun and Professional Demeanour: Possess a fun, professional attitude and demeanor.
* Product Knowledge: Demonstrate ability to build product knowledge of our Team/League inventory.
* Teamwork and Adaptability: Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team in fast-paced environments.
* Organization and Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness.
* Overcoming Obstacles: Proven ability to overcome obstacles while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
* Verbal Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
* Prioritizing AFL and Elite Sports: An interest in Australian Football and the elite sports landscape is highly valued.
