Trinity Beach Brewing Co Pty Ltd is one of Tropical North Queensland’s most iconic venues. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team and continue our tradition of culinary excellence. The successful candidate will be an existing Chef in an established restaurant. You will hold Commercial Cookery qualifications and demonstrate exceptional teamwork skills as well as strong time management and attention to detail. You will be flexible to work various shifts on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays. Given the concept of our restaurant, proven experience in Modern Australian cuisine would be advantageous. You must hold the unlimited and unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
Tasks Required Include:
1. Plan for and cook and ensure any item of the menu is prepared to a consistently high standard at all stages of preparation and presentation.
2. Ensure hygiene standards and safety practices are followed and maintained at a sufficiently high level.
3. Handle all customer complaints as required in a courteous, friendly manner.
4. Advise potential issues regarding the preparation, ordering, stock control, and food safety and quality to kitchen staff and/or management.
5. Monitor and maintain all kitchen equipment in correct operating order.
6. Plan menus and order food supplies as required.
7. Assist all kitchen staff and General Manager as required.
8. May train staff members to enforce food preparation, health and safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements:
1. At least 2 years of experience in the Chef position.
2. Have proven track record in delivering exceptional dishes in a time pressured environment.
3. Qualification in Commercial Cookery.
4. Experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen.
5. Experience in kitchen management is highly regarded.
6. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
