The Opportunity
You will provide technical support to the undergraduate practical and simulation-based teaching for Nutrition and Dietetics program. You will coordinate resources and support the daily operational requirements of the Nutrition and Dietetic kitchen and other facilities where practical and simulation-based classes are conducted.
You will
prepare the technical support and expertise required for the practical, simulation-based, and online delivery of undergraduate teaching to facilitate optimal learning in the Nutrition and Dietetics program;
deliver technical skills to enable Nutrition and Dietetics teaching and research activities to be conducted safely and effectively as well as contribute to practicable solutions and efficient resource management;
support the Food Safety Supervisor within the Nutrition and Dietetics kitchen with the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system; and
support the Radiation Safety Officer by maintaining records and monitoring compliance against the QLD Radiation Safety Act for equipment in service.

Your exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills ensure seamless operation of teaching and research equipment, including technology-enabled learning tools. With strong communication skills, you build trust and foster collaboration across all levels of staff, maintaining positive relationships within the university community.
Your organisational and time management abilities enable efficient, high-quality client service in fast-paced environments, ensuring priorities are met and outcomes achieved. Working both independently and collaboratively, you contribute to a supportive workplace culture and shared success.
You will possess:
Completion of a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent,
Experience working in a commercial or teaching kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and recipe modification.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety relating to a practical teaching environment, including developing, documenting, and implementing outcomes of risk assessments.
Ability to maintain high standards of cleaning/housekeeping with the ability to document reports and produce operational procedures.
Current class ‘C’ Drivers Licence and current First Aid certification.
