HOPE has been a provider of community services in Western Australia for over 120 years, providing much needed support for people in the areas of alcohol and other drugs, mental health, justice and family and domestic violence.
About the Opportunity
Team Leader will have oversight of the Governance and Risk Officer and support the systems and processes for Operational Governance and Risk. The role is based in the Metropolitan area with occasional travel to the Regional areas as and when required.
The Quality and Risk function is responsible for:
* Enabling the measurement of the quality, safety and effectiveness of the business systems across HOPE.
* Ensure sound risk management and reporting processes across all the services provided by HOPE.
* Supporting HOPE to meet its legislative, regulatory and contractual obligations through assessment, evaluation and reporting of the HOPE services against these requirements.
* Support and monitor governance requirements across HOPE.
This work is important to the organisation to ensure stakeholders of HOPE are confident that accreditation and evidence-based standards are achieved.
The team achieves the above through:
* Support and advise, and train teams where needed
* Risk assessment, management and reporting
* Management of data systems and the data within those systems
* Monitoring legislation and regulations for changes and then monitoring the implementation of those changes
* Evaluation of service outcomes
* Review and release of information in line with privacy legislation and HOPE policies
* Management of controlled documents.
Lead the development and implementation of the processes for continuous improvement.
About you:
* Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent capability from experience.
* Experience in leading an administration function.
* Stakeholder and relationship management skills suitable for daily interaction with Executives and influence of General Managers.
* Experience in project management
* Demonstrated ability to understand and support multiple business systems.
Desirable criteria:
* Degree in business/administration
* Experience in community services
* Qualification or accreditation in project management
* Experience leading a geographically dispersed team.
Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Police check (within 3 months), Working With Children card, Current C or A class driver's license, First Aid Certificate, Department of Justice Clearance (HOPE assists the successful candidate with obtaining this clearance), and suitable work referees.
