What you’ll do
4. Oversee the effective management of the operation to meet production requirements and performance targets around People, Safety, Service, Value
5. Build and promote a team environment focused on working collaboratively to achieve team and DC objectives
6. Lead, motivate and engage team leaders and team members on the PM (13:30-22:00) shift
7. Ensure that the team comply with safety policies, procedures and role responsibilities
8. Use effective communication techniques to encourage open and honest communications and constant information flow
9. Support implementation for continuous improvement of systems and our processes
10. Review operational area performance and implement improvements to align with organisational strategy
What you’ll bring
11. Proven leadership skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development through coaching and mentoring
12. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally and engage with stakeholders
13. Results oriented and organised approach with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines and the ability to motivate others to deliver
14. Working knowledge of a broad range of distribution centre systems eg. JDA (Warehouse Management System, Transport Management System, Yard Management System)
15. Proficient in software such as the Microsoft and Google Suites
16. Customer focussed, passionate and inclusive mindset
17. Exposure to IR matters with experience in a unionised environment
18. Flexibility with start times is required
