About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a dynamic Head of Campaigns to lead the development and execution of impactful shopper campaigns. In this role, you’ll inspire and guide a team of Campaign Managers, transforming marketing strategies into best-in-class campaigns that drive brand and business objectives while maximizing ROI.
You’ll collaborate closely with Shopper, Brand & Loyalty teams, Merchandise, Retail and State teams, our retailers, and agency partners to deliver innovative, insight-driven campaigns that engage shoppers and drive growth.
In this Role
* Develop campaigns that inspire retailers, shoppers, and the Metcash team.
* Take an insight-led approach to collaborate with internal teams and external agencies in crafting campaign propositions that align with brand and campaign objectives, key messages, and KPIs.
* Leverage past learnings and data from internal and external sources to test and refine campaign hypotheses.
* Utilize the Insights, Brand, and Strategy team's master media plan principles and budget allocations to optimize media channels in partnership with internal teams and media agencies.
* Manage diverse stakeholder needs and ensure high-quality creative execution across all shopper touchpoints, including in-store activations, delivered on time.
* Assess campaign performance against brand and business objectives, providing insights to the Insights, Brand, and Planning team for continuous improvement.
* Partner with the Insights, Brand, and Planning team to shape the annual marketing strategy.
* Oversee campaign budget forecasting on an annual and monthly basis.
* Lead and nurture relationships with external creative agencies, fostering a collaborative and mutually respectful partnership aligned with brand objectives.
* Inspire, lead, and develop a team of Campaign Managers.
You’re Likely a Match If
* Minimum 15 years of proven experience in marketing.
* Retail marketing experience preferred.
* Strong track record in developing and executing large-scale campaigns, including content and media.
* Extensive experience in managing agencies.
* Skilled in negotiating agency contracts and fostering collaborative, mutually respectful partnerships aligned with brand objectives.
* Ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation in campaign efficiency and effectiveness using measurement, insights, and modelling.
* Expertise in resource management and budget allocation.
* Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills.
