Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8, $110,266 to $122,058 per annum
plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your Role
We are seeking a passionate individual with customer service skills and trade/building/construction industry knowledge to contribute to our NSW social housing maintenance delivery.
The Property Services team delivers comprehensive property services to regions and oversees the delivery of maintenance services such as scoping, compliance inspections, and work order management.
This role coordinates the development of Housing Portfolio's program of works and estimates/negotiations with contractors, as well as managing staff conducting compliance inspections to ensure required numbers are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage inspections, services, and performance programs
* Coordinate quarterly maintenance works programs
* Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and contractors
* Lead a team of Asset Performance Officers, providing guidance, workload allocations, and overseeing staff performance and professional development
* Oversight of estimating and negotiation processes with contractors, ensuring compliance with government standards and initiating abatement action for substandard work
* Contribute to compliance, risk, and performance management programs, monitoring program delivery to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
* Accurate financial forecasting and expenditure review, contributing to successful program outcomes

What We're Looking For
* Understanding of Australian Building Codes, Australian Standards, Government, or commercial probity and contracting standards
* Relevant qualification and/or sound construction building maintenance and/or building construction experience/exposure, together with field inspection experience and measurement of performance against standards
* Experience and knowledge of residential property maintenance
* Experience in managing program of works
* Experience in managing staff
* Desirable – experience in compliance inspections of building essential services
