About the Role
The Financial Accountant – Reporting is a newly created role to support DFES’ Senior Financial Accountant in undertaking reporting obligations to Government, internal and external stakeholders. The role actively participates in the development of DFES financial policies and procedures, provides line management responsibility to DFES Revenue Team and Insurance Officer as well as providing business process improvement capability across DFES’ Financial Services branch.
DFES has commenced a Finance Transformation project that will see the roll out of a modern finance system and associated process modernisation by. This role will be provided excellent opportunities to bring your best practice knowledge and skills in introducing the increased use of technology solutions to finance processes during the project and beyond.
Being a new role there is no encumbered person in this position, with applications welcome from within and outside of the Public Service to join our culturally diverse team.
